Mentorship: ReNEW Peer Certification Program
ReNEW program graduates have the opportunity to develop leaderships skills through the mentorship program. Once a graduate has been in recovery and clean for one year they are able to return to the program as a volunteer and train to become a certified mentor. This program is done in cooperation with the ReNEW Outside (REO) program and works hand in hand together with the program staff.
Mentors are required to complete the ReNEW Peer Mentor Certification program which consists of 4 weeks of leader/mentor training and 4 weeks of shadowing a seasoned mentor. Once the have completed all certification requirements they will be assigned a mentee (who is enrolled in the ReNEW OUTSIDE program) to walk alongside in their recovery journey who . This opportunity provides personal growth for both the mentor and the mentee.




ReNEW Peer Certification
This project is specifically geared towards ReNEW graduates who have been in recovery for one year and remained sober. They can enroll in the program, free of charge, obtain their certification, complete four weeks of shadowing a seasoned Mentor and prepare for their final exam which enables them to become a peer mentor to recently released women who have participated in the ReNEW program. This program requires a commitment of their time, energy and passion to serve others. The rewards are great and the service to others is priceless.
