Who We Are
Empowered women, empower women. Creating space for women who have experienced trauma, addiction and abuse benefits more than just the women we work with. It benefits their families, their neighborhoods and their community. Addiction carries with it shame and guilt. These are powerful emotions and can keep women trapped in an unhealthy cycle. Our hope is to help women find their voice and to be all that they can be..
Our small but powerful team works directly with the women located inside of correctional facilities. It takes passion, determination, patience, empathy and caring to work with women who have been made to feel they don’t matter. Many have suffered unthinkable experiences, however we care for them without judgement or prejudice. Encouragement uplifting words, strong boundaries, and thoughtful planning help to show our residents how to become women of integrity.
Our staff have years of experience with working with marginalized populations. Whether it is addiction, homelessness, trauma, abuse, human trafficking, or women who have had to survive on the streets our approach is the same. Our team uses tried and true practices, evidence based approaches and ongoing research within our structured curriculum.
